Although setting up an electronic signature for printing on checks can usually be done by a client user with system administrator privileges in Accounting Core, M3 stands by to assist with this important and useful feature.
If you are a corporate-level user and would like assistance from M3 technical support setting up a check signature, please submit a support request and have the following items and permissions ready if possible so that what can promptly assist you:

The most reliable answer to this question is to install the software and drivers that come with your device and to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations.
Please consider that even though you may be able to print or scan from Windows with your device, this is no guarantee that it will work with M3 if you have not installed the specific software and drivers. Microsoft often assigns a universal driver, such as the Microsoft Enhanced Point and Print Compatibility driver, which does not work well with check printing in M3 for example.

Do I need to install the scanner or printer manufacturer software to work properly with M3?
Q: Why do I always have to open the ICA files when using Google Chrome to access M3 applications?
A: This is the default behavior of Google Chrome for ICA files. The next time you click on an M3 application in the Client Portal, click on the drop-down caret next to the file name. This will bring up a small menu. You should see the option to "Always open files of this type." Check this and then click on the file to open it (See attached image for example). The next time you click on an application for M3, this file should automatically download and launch.
Q: What if I previously checked the option to open ICA files each time?
A: If your browsing data, such as cookies, cache, history, etc was recently cleared, this could have reverted the default behavior in Chrome to prompt each time. This can be corrected by performing the step above again.

The following scanners have been deemed as compatible with M3 to where a user can use the direct scan function:
*** We are aware that the Brother ADS-2000 and EPSON DS-510 are difficult to find at this time. We are in the process of testing other scanners and will continue to update this page as more information is available.
*As changes in Windows occur, some scanner models may become non-compliant with Accounting Core. We will continue to monitor and update this list when we learn of any models becoming obsolete.
Prior to using the scanner for the first time in Accounting Core; it is highly recommend that the scanner software has been installed on the local computer, as this will help prevent most twain errors.
