  • iOS Catalina version 10.15 Issues

    Description of Problem:

    1. Customer has upgraded their MAC to the newest version of iOS (Catalina) v10.15

    Symptoms/Issue(s):

    1. Cannot create folders on the root drive.
    2. iOS version does not support 32-bit applications any longer. i.e. Citrix Receiver

    Solution:

    ***Please be aware that even though Accounting Core will run on iOS version 10.15 (Catalina), you will no longer be able to import, export, or upload due to security changes implemented by Apple prohibiting access to the hard drive. Below you will find some solutions that M3 has seen success with when used; however by using one of these options you will be put in a non-supported situation by M3 on your MAC computer.

    1. The enterprise path will need to be changed to a path that the MAC user can access. For example, a network drive.
    2. If the user chooses they may use a version of a Windows Parallel program, which is a program that is installed on the MAC that runs Windows as a program on top of the MAC operating system. Then set up the folder path in the Windows Parallel.
    3. The last option is to downgrade to the version High Sierra iOS version 10.13.

    Notes/Addendums:

    • There may be changes coming as M3 learns more about this iOS version and how to overcome the current challenges.

  • Citrix

    Dear Valued Accounting Core Customers,

    In the past week we have made several configuration changes to the Citrix and Client Portal site that will significantly improve your users experience. This effort should yield better stability, performance and a significantly reduced rendering of a variety of log in errors your users have seen for quite some time. One of the many adjustments made to support a root cause of a lot of these issues resulted in our need to enforce a security policy that could impact some of your users ability to log into Accounting Core. This security policy restricts and blocks users who are running unsupported technology. This includes Operating Systems, Internet Browsers and the Citrix Receiver client itself. This older, less secure technology introduced instability and risk into the environment that contributed to the issues you have been having.

    We have posted a tool set on the Help Desk Portal that users can scan their machines to determine if they will have an issue. Or simply, they will receive an error trying to log in. Should this occur please have them contact support for assistance to resolve that issue. In some cases, our efforts to remediate for your users will require administrative rights to the computer to install the necessary components to resolve their log in issue.

    We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause with hopes of your understanding and our demonstration to commitments of delivering the best possible user experience for you.

    Thanks,

    M3 Technical Support
