M3 will not open and stay "visible"

When I open M3 via Chrome, it stays open for about 30 seconds.  I am able to select the property and press "Calculate" but then it lags out and I am unable to do anything at all.  No buttons work, and I can't even exit the web page/app.  I literally have to use Windows Task Manager to close the active running programs to get back to my desktop.
